Remove Left Sidebar In New Google Search [How To]

We are sure that until now, each one of you must be watching and using the new Google search interface. Google has implemented many features on its search page in terms of looks and usability, which it had been experimenting with for a long time. Most visible changes are the new left sidebar and the Google logo, which is now more “Web 2.0 ish”. The left sidebar now provides you with many tools which help you to refine your searchresultsaccording to your needs.

As with any new change, many are appreciating the new change in looks and search refinements and many people feelstuckwith the newdesign, especially the new left sidebar. We are proving here get-arounds to remove/hide the new left sidebar of Google search, in two of your favoritebrowsers:Firefoxand Chrome.

Remove/Hide/Turn off Left Sidebar in Google Search:

ForFirefox:

If you useFirefoxfor web browsing, an add-on can do this wonder for you. Go ahead andinstall Hide Google Options. Anytime during browsing, if you change your mind to see the left sidebar in Google search again, you can toggle it (enable/disable) from the status bar.

ForFirefoxbrowser, you can even install Google Fix userscript which removes the sidebar as well as the bottom search bar from Google search. (Uses Greasemonkey)

For Chrome:

If you area user of Chromebrowser, you can install the Hide Google Options extension. To toggle (enable/disable) the display of left sidebar in Google search, simplyclickits icon.

We have even found a userscript named OldGoogle, which works on bothFirefoxas well as Google chrome.

ForInternetExplorer/Opera:

ForInternetexplorer and Opera, only option that seems feasible is to revert to the old Google interface (the good old Google). To use the old interface of Google search, you can type in addressbar:

http://www.google.com/webhphl=all
