Facebook Banned in Pakistan: How to Access Facebook In Pakistan
Facebook is Banned in Pakistan after Pakistani government imposed an order to ban Facebook. This action was taken as One page name “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day” was encouraging users to draw and upload images of Prophet Mohammad and according to Islam it was not allowed. You can read more about it on our Facebook blog.
Banning a social networking site because of misuse by handful amount of people is something not justified and this is more like some thing happened in China some time back when they banned Blogspot, Flickr and Twitter.
Anyways here are few solutions which will let you access Facebook in Pakistan:
Ultra Surf:
Ultra surf is a proxy tool which will let you surf Internet via proxy. You need to change your internet connection settings to access websites including Facebook. You can read more about configuring Ultra-surf in my earlier post: How to use Ultra surf to unblock any blocked site.
Your-Freedom Software:
Your-freedom is again a useful piece of software to access any blocked website. Though it’s free version has certain limitation like bandwidth caps and concurrent connection stream, but to access few sites like Facebook it will be very handy.
VPN software’s:
There are many VPN software’s which you can use to access internet using other IP. This way you can access any website which is blocked by your internet service provider or by your Firewall. Provided you are able to connect to that VPN server.
Proxy Websites:
This is most common way to access any blocked site and you can search in Google for keywords like “Working proxy sites” “Unblock facebook” to find working proxy sites to access Facebook.
I’m sure many of our Pakistani friends will find it useful as it’s not decided how long this ban is going to stay in Pakistan. Do let us know your reaction about ban of Facebook in Pakistan and do share any more working ways to access Facebook in Pakistan.
This software's will help those people who cannot access Facebook because of the banned in their country. I think facebook banned is just useless as long as there are proxies and software available.
